UniSports Redevelopment Project

To help us provide our valued customers with access to improved facilities and services, UniSports will be undergoing a number of renovations and changes in the coming months.

Please note the following important notes regarding opening hours and access;

Toning Point Temporary Closure
Sunday 1st April – Sunday 8th April
Reopening Monday 9th April 6am

Temporary Location
Upon reopening on Monday 9th April, Toning Point Gym will be located in P815 while construction works are completed on building P.

Building Access
Access to Building P will be via level 8 only as level 7 entry will be closed during construction.

Parking
Public Car Park access between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday will be via car park 5 with a temporary walk way and pedestrian crossing over University Drive.

Q&A

Q. Why is Unisports closing and relocating? A. The university is investing in improving the Human Movement and Sports Science facilities. This will result in the introduction state of the art facilities including a new gym space

Q. Where is the gym moving to? A. Until the gym is ready to be relocated into its new home (where basketball court is now) it will be housed in the space currently known as Dance studio.

Q. Will I able to access the gym and facilities as I do now?
A. It is anticipated that after the 9th April you will be able to access facilities as you do now, however parking and building access points will be different.

Q. What dates will Toning Point be closed?
Toning Point Gym will be closed from Sunday 1st – Sunday 8th April, reopening Monday 9th April, 6am, in the temporary location P815 (Dance studio)

Q. Will the pool opening hours and access be affected?
The UniSports pool will still be open and available for use as normal.
