Our staff

Our staff provide high quality education and care to all our children, with numerous years of experience and service, providing continuity and security for your child. Educators are trained in anaphylaxis, asthma, first aid and CPR.

Sally Mathews, FedUni Children's Centres Coordinator

  • Sally commenced with FedUni Children's Centres in 2001, and is currently the FedUni Children's Centres Coordinator, based at the SMB Centre.

Steven Matheson, FedUni Children's Centres Deputy Coordinator, Mount Helen

  • Diploma of Children's Services (including Award for Excellence), University of Ballarat
  • Certificate IV in Teaching and Assessment
  • Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Communities- Bastow Institute (2014)
  • Leading People in early childhood setting, Bastow Institute (2014)
  • Steven commenced with FedUni Children's Centres in 2004 working in the children's rooms. Steven was a TAFE Teacher in Children's Services from 2009-2013 returning to FedUni Children's Centres in 2013 as the Deputy Coordinator, he is based at Mt Helen.

Lea McPhee, FedUni Children's Centres Deputy Coordinator, SMB

  • Leadership Series, Gowrie Victoria (Current)
  • Lea commenced with FedUni Children’s Centres in 2007 and is currently the Deputy Coordinator FedUni Children’s Centres splitting her time between this position and the Room 3 Leader at the SMB centre.

Jodie Petesic, FedUni Children's Centres Coordinator, Churchill

  • Diploma of Children's Services (Central Gippsland College of Technical and Further Education) 1993
  • Certificate in Protective Behaviours 2014
  • Jodie commenced  as Coordinator in 2003 at Pooh Corner Childcare Centre Gippsland which is now FedUni Children's Centre at Churchill.

Lynne Douglas, Accounts Administration (based at SMB)

  • Lynne joined FedUni Children's Centres in 2006, and currently provides administration and accounts assistance to FedUni Children's Centres.
