Terms and conditions

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. Federation University, Campus Life runs a loyalty program known as 'Campus Life Rewards'.

1.2. Campus Life is a division within the Federation University Student Support and Services Portfolio, currently incorporating the following trading identities;'The Hub', 'FedUni Children's Centres', 'UniSports', 'The Club', 'FedUni Store' and 'FedUni Living'. Further trading identities may be added from time to time. This document will refer to the division as 'Campus Life'.

1.3. Campus Life Rewards is considered a separate identity to the Campus Life division and trading identities outlined in clause 1.2, and will be referred to as 'Campus Life Rewards'.

1.4. Campus Life trading identities as identified in clause 1.2 above will be known as 'Campus Life Traders' for the purposes of these terms and conditions.

1.5. These terms and conditions form the basis of the Campus Life Rewards program and govern the use of the rewards Card and membership of the program.

1.6. By applying for membership or using the Card, a person:

1.6.1. agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions and any variations to them;

1.6.2. agrees to participate in the program; and

1.6.3. agrees to receive information and promotions via e-mail, mail and SMS/ MMS (where such information has been provided by that person) from Campus Life Rewards.

2. MEMBERSHIP

2.1. To become a member of the program:

2.1.1. a person will need to legibly complete and sign the application form (including providing a current email address), and return to a Campus Life Rewards representative or

2.1.2. alternatively applicants may join the program by registering online.

2.2. Members may need to allow 2-3 working days for the card activation to be processed.

2.3. Applicants are only eligible for one membership each and the issuing of a Card and disqualifying of a Card or member of the program is at the sole discretion of Campus Life Rewards. Membership is for personal use only. It must not be used by or for a corporation or business and is not transferable.

3. PARTICIPATION

3.1. To participate in the program a member is required to present his or her Card. If a member does not have his or her Card with him or her, no points will be awarded, and no points will be able to be redeemed.

3.2. The Card must be presented at the time of making a purchase at a participating Campus Life Rewards trader for points to be updated.

3.3. Campus Life Rewards will regard the person presenting the Card as the member.

3.4. It is the member's responsibility to keep the Card and his or her personal information safe and Campus Life Rewards is not responsible for points not utilised by the member according to these terms and conditions or for stolen, lost or damaged Cards or the failure of a member to provide the Card at the time of making a purchase.

3.5. If a Card is lost or damaged, a member may apply to Campus Life Rewards for a replacement Card by submitting a request via the contact details listed on the website. Campus Life Rewards may charge a member for a replacement Card to cover the costs for administration and handling. This fee is not refundable.

3.6. The Campus Life Rewards Card in relation to the program at all times remains the property of Campus Life Rewards.

3.7. For a membership to remain valid, it will need to be 'Active'. For the membership to remain 'Active', a member must present the Card at a Participating Campus Life Trader and make a purchase within 12 months period.

3.7.1. In the event that no purchase is made within a 12 month period, membership may be cancelled.

3.7.2. If a member is not 'Active', his or her Rewards Points and Rewards History will be lost. The person may be eligible to rejoin the rewards program at a later time, however any previous points will not be reinstated.

3.7.3. Points must be redeemed within the 12 month calendar year (January 1 - December 31). Any points remaining at the end of the year will expire.

3.8. It is the responsibility of the member to check after each transaction to ensure the details (including the number of points) are correct. It is the responsibility of the member to provide Campus Life Rewards with any changes to his or her personal details via the contact details as outlined on the website.

4. REWARD POINTS

4.1. Subject to clauses 3.1 and 3.2, for every one (1) dollar a member spends (rounded to the nearest whole dollar) at participating Campus Life Rewards traders, five (5) reward points will be awarded.

4.2. Participating Campus Life Reward Traders will be outlined on the Campus Life Rewards website and may be subject to change from time to time.

4.3. Promotions, specials and rewards will be outlined on the 'Campus Life Rewards Program' website.

4.4. Reward Points will not be awarded for payment of accommodation fees for members living in Campus Life Halls of Residence.

4.5. Any Reward Points credited in error or any points relating to a transaction which is cancelled or reversed or where a refund is given, will be deducted.

4.6. Current Reward Points balance will be available at the point of sale when making a purchase. Members may request their current points balance at a participating Campus Life Trader's point of sale on presentation of the member card.

5. CAMPUS LIFE REWARDS

5.1. Campus Life Members will be able to redeem their reward points for product from participating Campus Life traders at a rate of one (1) cent per point at the point of sale.

5.2. Any rights or benefits assigned to a Campus Life Member are non-negotiable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.

5.3. When a Campus Life Reward is provided, the corresponding number of Reward Points will be deducted from the total balance of Reward Points.

5.4. A Campus Life Reward issued under the Rewards program will not be replaced if lost, stolen or defaced.

5.5. Only the Campus Life Reward Member may redeem their points for the chosen reward. Members may be asked for identification in order to redeem points.

5.6. Members should treat their Campus Life Rewards card as cash.

5.7. Members may be given the opportunity to enter competitions and receive information, promotions or offers run by Campus Life Rewards, Campus Life, Campus Life Traders or approved partner organisations. Competitions and other information, promotions or offers will be subject to their own terms and conditions which will be available in store, online or provided separately to members. Competitions may limit certain members from entering or claiming a prize or offer.

6. CANCELLATION

6.1. If a member no longer wishes to participate in the program or receive the information or offerings, the member can withdraw from the program by notifying Campus Life Rewards in writing via the contact details as listed on the website.

6.2. A Campus Life Rewards card may be cancelled if there is no activity for a 12 month period.

7. PRIVACY STATEMENT

7.1. A Campus Life Rewards member can access his or her personal information held by Campus Life Rewards by contacting the program administrators, via the current contact information listed on the website.

7.2. The purpose for Campus Life Rewards collecting personal information is for a member to participate in the program. The information will be held by the University and may be accessed and used by people employed or engaged by the University to communicate information to you regarding the Program. The information may be made available to Commonwealth and State agencies and to other organisations, where permitted by relevant Privacy legislation. The provision of the information is voluntary but if a person does not provide Campus Life Rewards with information required in the enrolment form, he or she may not be eligible to become a member or participate in the program. Persons have a right of access to and correction of, personal information in accordance with privacy legislation and the University's Information Privacy Policy. Persons should direct any enquiries they may have regarding privacy to the University Privacy Officer, telephone 5327 9021.

7.3. If a replacement Card is required or a member needs to change his or her details, Campus Life Rewards may require a form to be filled out with such information that Campus Life Rewards reasonably requires.

8. GENERAL

8.1. Campus Life Rewards reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time and to suspend or cancel the program and/or the Card at any time upon reasonable notice.

8.2. The current terms and conditions will be available on the Campus Life Rewards Program website. All active members are assumed to accept the current terms and conditions.

8.3. Participating Campus Life Traders may include 'The Hub', 'FedUni Children's Centres', 'UniSports', 'The Club', 'FedUni Store', 'FedUni Living' or other approved partner organisations. Current participating traders will be outlined on the Campus Life Rewards website.

8.4. A copy of the current terms and conditions can be viewed online at our website.

8.5. Campus Life will not be responsible for lost, stolen, illegible or damaged Rewards Cards.

8.6. The Card and the technology utilised by the program depend on third parties. Campus Life Rewards is not responsible for computer or technological errors or failures, or for fraud.

8.7. Reward Points issued under the program are not transferable, are not redeemable for cash and are not negotiable instruments.

8.8. Third parties involved in the program do not have any authority, express or implied, to make any representation, warranty or statement on behalf of Campus Life Rewards and Campus Life Rewards accepts no liability in respect of such representations, warranties or statements.
